Designing this non-profit’s website has been a real privilege for me, especially because Arlington, VA holds a special place in my heart as my hometown. 🇺🇸
In a time when Black history is facing the threat of being banned or diluted, the importance of having a dedicated Black history museum like the BHMA cannot be emphasized enough. It serves as a powerful testament to the resilience, struggles, and triumphs of Black Arlingtonians and Black Americans throughout history.
Juneteenth holds tremendous significance as a day that symbolizes the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It reminds us of the strength, resilience, and unyielding spirit of those who fought for freedom and equality. Let us honor their legacy by fostering unity, understanding, and progress in our communities.
